Dig into iframe

When content is embedded in iFrames (or iFrames that are within iFrames), AST will not always capture the iFrame content. There is a workaround using the node capture but a better solution would be to identify iFrames in the page capture process and give the user the option to include or exclude the rendered content from the iFrame.

Certain clients use embedded iFrames for their content. Adding features to recognize this content will help capture and make sure that captures are correct.

Since AST will see inside an iFrame with Node capture, it should be possible to see the iFrame with DOM capture and/or full page automatics. The process could be manual (allow the tester to select the iFrame or not) or automatically include all iFrame content.

This is a really great idea. Initially when we designed the iframe testing, we didn't test iframes unless it was explicitly captured as a module because iframes often contain 3rd party content. What you suggest would be a good solution. We could make it a lot easier to capture these and test them when they should be tested. We will consider this for enhancement when we next tackle AST testing updates.
